Crafted Elegance in Motion

Fashion, at its best, is about emotion in movement. My work captures garments not merely as objects of design, but as carriers of texture, rhythm, and identity. From a couture sari catching the wind to a sharply tailored silhouette stepping into soft light, each frame is composed to evoke both detail and atmosphere. I strive to reveal not just how clothes look, but how they make us feel – alive, powerful, and connected.

I approach fashion films as sequences of instinctive elegance, where form meets feeling. The result is a visual language that is refined and editorial, yet deeply rooted in storytelling. Each project becomes an opportunity to create a cinematic narrative that honors craftsmanship while inspiring desire. For me, fashion is not just documented, it is translated into motion poetry.

Working with Icons and Artisans

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of directing films with international models and leading cross-cultural campaigns, including global collaborations such as H&M x Sabyasachi and Estée Lauder x Sabyasachi. These projects not only required cinematic storytelling but also the ability to bridge diverse audiences through a unified visual language.

They demanded a nuanced understanding of brand DNA, pacing, and visual consistency, skills I refined through years of working closely with creative directors, stylists, and artisans at some of India’s most iconic fashion houses. This collaborative experience has shaped my approach to fashion films, where craft and strategy meet to create campaigns that resonate worldwide.

When Heritage Met High Street

In 2021, I helmed the campaign for the H&M x Sabyasachi collaboration, a first-of-its-kind partnership between one of India’s leading luxury fashion houses and the world’s biggest high-street brand. From shooting to editing and color grading, I managed every stage of production single-handedly, ensuring the visuals carried both Sabyasachi’s cultural richness and H&M’s global edge.

The response was explosive. The films went viral with over 3 million views, creating unprecedented buzz that saw the entire collection sell out within hours of launch. This project stands as a milestone in fashion storytelling—where cinematic visuals, sharp editing, and cultural resonance translated into both virality and commercial success.

Craft, Culture, and Cinematic Vision

My work in fashion goes beyond garments, it celebrates the hands, skills, and stories of the artisans who bring them to life. Through carefully crafted films and photography, I strive to showcase traditional crafts and cultural heritage, highlighting the mastery behind every stitch, weave, and embellishment. By thoughtfully using lighting, composition, and camera angles, I aim to create visuals that not only captivate but also educate audiences, fostering a deeper appreciation for craftsmanship and the rich narratives embedded in fashion.

My time at Sabyasachi, one of India’s leading luxury fashion houses, was formative in shaping this approach. Working closely with artisans and immersing myself in India’s cultural tapestry taught me the importance of authenticity, attention to detail, and storytelling that honors heritage. Today, my films and photographs continue this legacy, empowering artisans, celebrating craft, and reminding viewers of the beauty and value inherent in cultural expression.

Cinematic Detail, Editorial Precision

Every frame is lit and composed with intention, reflecting the sensibilities of high-fashion photography while embracing the rhythm and flow of cinema. From precise jewellery close-ups that shimmer with subtlety to detailed garment shots that capture texture and form, each element is crafted to convey both beauty and meaning.

My process is editorial in pace, yet cinematic in mood. Through considered camera movement, framing, and light, fashion becomes more than clothing, it transforms into something tactile, immersive, and timeless, inviting viewers to experience the narrative behind every piece.

Indian Couture on a Global Canvas

In my work for the Sabyasachi x Bergdorf Goodman collaboration, I had the opportunity to create visuals that transcended traditional fashion campaigns. My images were featured in Vogue, displayed on the iconic 5th Avenue in New York alongside luxury giants like Chanel, and even showcased in the vibrant lights of Times Square, bringing Indian couture to a global stage. Every shot was crafted to highlight the elegance, detail, and storytelling inherent in the collection, while maintaining cinematic flow and editorial precision.

This project was a milestone in my career, reflecting not just technical mastery in lighting, composition, and post-production, but also a deep understanding of how fashion communicates across cultures. By blending meticulous photography with cinematic sensibilities, I was able to craft images that resonated with audiences worldwide and cemented the collection’s presence in both print and iconic public spaces.
